We specialize in tear outs and replacements of urban and suburban lawns, front yards, back yards or both. We install Bluegrass and shade sod.

What we do

Installing shade sod has become one of our specialties.

Did you know there is a sod specifically grown for shade? Shade sod consists of a variety of fescue. Fescue can grow in the sun but can also grow in shade.

All grass needs a minimum of two hours of sunshine. Bluegrass sod is great for sun, but it does not grow well in shade.  Bluegrass needs five to six hours of sunshine.

We install Bluegrass and shade sod.

Founding Story

Cliff started sodding when he graduated from high school and started working that summer for a nursery. He continued sodding and worked himself through college. When graduation came he went into another field, but would still sod on weekends and evenings.  It enabled him to buy those fishing poles etc.  Upon retirement he started up his own sodding business.
